I can confirm this works on the same router. Its important to make sure there are no network cables connected apart from the one to your device you are using to flash the firmware. That worked first time, and then allowed me to upgrade from there. ![]() I used this version RT-AC68U_378.55_0.trx, but can't remember where I got it from. If you are having trouble re-installing the original ASUS firmware with the restoration tool, try one of the older versions if you can find them. ![]() To 'remove' DR-WRT you need to install Asus-Merlin on it. The router should reboot on its own and then access the router again at the above address to start configuring. Open a web browser, I use Firefox ESR, and go to 192.168.1.1. Keep holding the reset button until the power light flashes slowly. On the back of the unit, hold down the reset button and press the power button. Keep holding the wps button until the power light starts flashing fast. With the router powered off, hold down the wps button and power on. ![]() Never got Asus firmware restoration to work, always says i'm not in recovery mode even though it is No matter what i do it always boots to dd-wrt. ![]() Thanks, tried but got nowhere except for wiping settings. The default IP should be 192.168.1.1 in cfe recovery mode.ĪSUS RT-AC3100 Media Bridge/AsusWRT 386.46065ĪSUS RT-AC3100 r48741, testing as GatewayĪSUS RT-AC68U Media Bridge/AsusWRT 386.46065
